6 Quick Ways to Increase Your AdWords Click Through Rate (CTR)

6 Quick Ways to Increase Your AdWords Click Through Rate (CTR)

There are times you just want to increase your CTR. You might need to raise it to improve Quality Scores, increase traffic, or gain visibility for a new product or service.
Often by just raising CTR, you might not be raising your conversion rate. You can even decrease your conversion rates with ads. However, we’re going to focus on raising click-through rates regardless of how it affects other metrics.

Adding An Extension

One of the easiest ways to increase CTR (Click through rate) that also helps conversion rate is to use ad extensions. Ad extensions will help you to show additional information with your ads. You can add extensions for local, social and products.

Extend Your Headline

Sometimes Google will display text ads in a wider format, depending upon the type of keyword search and ad slot. You can use this to your advantage by writing your first description line in a way that will extend the headline of your ad. A great way to do this is to ask a question in your headline and answer it in the first description line.

Consider The Display URL As Marketing Copy

Your display URL does not have to be an actual URL. As long as your root domain in the ad and site are the same, you can consider the rest of the URL as marketing copy. The display URL can be 35 characters long – don’t waste the space.

Use Trademarks

When someone searches for a brand or product, they want to see that brand in the ad copy. You do have to be careful of the legalities around trademarks, however, adding those well-recognized words to the ad can make a large difference to your CTRs.

Implement Call Extensions

Similar to stelinks, adding a call extension to your ads and make it easier to for people to get in touch. the major advantage of call extension is that people can click the ad and call using either mobile or tablet.

Regularly Adjust your bids

Make sure that you regularly review your keyword bid prices to ensure that you are firstle bidding enough to appear on page one and secondly that your bids place you high enough on the page to get a good CTR and a good conversion rate

What is PPC / Paid Advertising?

What is PPC / Paid Advertising?

What is PPC / Paid Advertising

Pay per click (PPC), stands for pay per click, is an online advertising model used to direct traffic to websites, in which an advertiser pays a publisher (typically a website owner or a network of websites) when the ad is clicked. Essentially, it's a way of buying visits to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically. Search engine advertising is one of the most popular forms of PPC.
Pay-per-click is commonly associated with search engines. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. In contrast, content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system. PPC "display" advertisements, also known as "banner" ads, are shown on web sites with related content that have agreed to show ads and are typically not pay-per-click advertising.
